Pneumatic Forklifts

Pneumatic lifts are referred to as pallet vehicles or pump trucks and are commonly used in warehouses and delivery plants to transport resources on pallets. Pneumatic lift trucks consist of a set of metallic forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight that contains a pump. The pump is used to elevate and lower the forks.

Visually inspect the pallet truck before loading. Make sure the wheels are free of any potential obstacles. Moreover, make sure the handle moves easily and turns appropriately. Inspect the pallet prior to moving it to determine if it is stacked in a manner that minimizes the chance of anything falling off during lifting. Discharge any air in the pump and let down the forks to the floor by squeezing the lever mounted on the inside of the steel ring on the end of the handle. Slide the blades into the slots in the pallet and ensure the blades are centered so that the palletsâ?? mass is evenly distributed.

Pump the pneumatic jack lever up and down to lift the forks from the floor. Stop pumping as soon as the pallet is entirely off the floor as there is no need to raise it any higher or risk losing balance while turning. In order to progress the pallet, haul the handle behind you; do not push it. There will be a large amount of momentum existing. Refrain from quick or sharp turns and you should not stop too abruptly. Gently bring the pallet to a halt wherever you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever within the handle end to return the blades to the ground. Pull out the blades from the pallet and return the pallet vehicle to its specified parking spot.
